What Makes the Cousteau Reserve Unique for Beginners?

Protected from strong ocean swells, the waters surrounding the Pigeon Islets feature outstanding visibility, often exceeding 25 to 30 meters. As soon as your head slips below the surface, you are greeted by an explosion of Caribbean marine life: parrotfish, blue tangs, butterflyfish, sea turtles, and vibrant coral formations, all thriving in shallow depths of 0 to 6 meters.

How Your Discovery Dive Unfolds

Your journey begins at the dive shop with a warm welcome and a clear, reassuring safety briefing. Your instructor will explain basic hand signals, breathing techniques with the regulator, and ear equalization. You will then board the dive boat for a short 10-minute cruise to the Pigeon Islets.
